SAW OPERATOR
JOB SUMMARY
Operation of auto-feed saws, unloading/receiving of raw material, keep area organized and clean
REQUIREMENTS
- Know how to read a tape measure – a test will be given & must be passed.
- Be able to read and understand the basics of blueprints
- Some machining, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or general shop college/high school courses are required
- Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Be mechanically inclined
- Be able to listen and follow directions
- "Can-do" TEAM attitude
- Ability to retain and comprehend information given & absorb/utilize these teachings on different projects
- Good communication skills - clear English - have ability to talk with supervisors and co-workers; communicate" progress, concerns, problems, potential safety issues, and other issues that may arise
- Be able to work independently with little or no supervision (after instructions and directions have been given). Comprehend these instructions and directions - ask questions when something is not understood
- Be able to write - take notes & put thoughts and other information down on paper
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
- Steel-toed shoes/boots
- Clothing without large screen prints, profanity, alcohol, or drugs messages
- Light jacket/overcoat - although we try and control the temp in the shop, it does get chilly out there

MACHINIST
JOB SUMMARY:
Do precision machining with manual and CNC machine tools, including but not limited to Lathe, Mill, Grinders, inspection equipment, and work with varied materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted.
- Plans the setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants, and machine tool feeds and speeds.
- Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures for equipment under power and OSHA requirements. Frequently works with other employees.
- Requires a very high degree of precision and control in work where damage could
be high and where muscular control and delicate touch are required.
- High degree of attention and care required, to prevent injury to self and others whenoperating machine tools.
- Determines specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during, and after machining.
- Performs hand operations involved in producing precision machined components. Uses hand tools of the trade.
- Stand on feet for 8 hours per day.
- Capable of lifting 35 pounds.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May assist other machinists and machine operators.
- May work with product designers providing input to manufacturing capability on newly formed products.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Completion of formal apprenticeship program or 3+ years on-the-job experience.
- Overtime encouraged when available
- Direct deposit is a condition of employment – we do NOT cut paper checks
- 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30) or 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 3:00pm-1:00am)
